Umbreon Solo Raid Guide

Overview

Umbreon is as close to a punching bag as tier 3 raid bosses get. It doesn’t do much damage, and the only viable counters are a pair of Fighting-type Pokemon. However, much like a punching bag, you may very well end up punching and punching this thing and still never break it.

Approach

Preparing for the Solo

• Keep in mind that only a select handful of Pokemon have the DPS needed to solo, and they basically have to be Lv.40
• The DPS needed for a Solo is slightly shy of what's needed for Machamp and Breloom, though it may be possible with exploits.
• Plan on waiting for Cloudy weather

Team composition

• If you want to do a true, non-boosted solo, then Lucario is basically a must-have
• Conkeldurr and Breloom can pull it off too in theory, but it's extremely close
• If you have a few Lucario, then Machamp is an acceptable filler, though its DPS is too low to solo without support.
• Focus heavily on damage. Even with ideal counters, this is a race against the clock!

Dodging strategy

• Don't. You need to get every attack in that you can, and the Fighters resist all of Umbreon's moves.
