Equipment

Special Equipment
Sweet Dream Donuts

Overview

Pekola, which sounds like a translation slaughter, or Pekora, is one of the most unassuming dolls from Jashin collab, yet arguably one of the most useful. While her buff requirement leaves an impression that she’d be an RF Claes, in practice it doesn’t take much to bypass it, and with Flare ammo for HGs it becomes even easier to activate her attacks. By bypassing Armor and HP shields, she becomes a great ally to new Commanders, who lack sufficient gold AP ammos, and to veteran Commanders, as bypassing shields makes even easier to fight enemies with HP shields, such as Patrollers, or KCCO comps with Acherons (the KCCO shield lamp post). Her SPEQ is a beefy Cape, with a Critical Damage buff higher than even Mosin’s Hayha Chip. To top it, Pekola also has a damage buff proportional to the enemy HP lost, which makes her particularly suited against high HP enemies, and, due to ballooning enemy HP, she is likely to cap her damage buff most of the time.

Strengths

SPEQ

Capping at 45%!! Critical Damage buff, her SPEQ is almost double of what a 5 star Cape offers. As RFs usually fight at capped Crit Rate, Pekora will often make full use of her SPEQ.

Damage buff

Pekola has a permanent damage buff of 10% the enemy HP lost, capped by her own Damage stat. Against high HP enemies, such as Minotaurs, Pekora can make full use of this buff, potentially reaching up to 100% Damage buff. For comparison, Lee, who has one of the highest Damage buffs in the RF class, self buffs only 75%.

Ignores armour

For new Commanders, who potentially lack gold AP ammunition, Pekola is a great way to deal against high armor enemies, such as Hydras and Reece Centres. As future enemies will have even higher Armor values due to the advent of SLAP ammo, Pekola becomes one of the few options capable of handling them without being hindered by their high Armor values.

Bypass HP shield

Bypassing HP shield, while it is a niche, is nevertheless a welcome addition, as she can make Patrollers fight significantly easier if Commanders can activate her attacks at the start of the battle.

Weaknesses

Debuff removal is unreliable

15% is a tad too low to consistently rely on her passive debuff removal, so it should be treated as a nice bonus when it is activated rather than a passive Skill Commanders should rely on.

Average stat

Pekola’s Damage stat is pretty average, putting her below traditional 5 star units, such as Lee (135), WA2000 (130), R93 (133) and even Springfield (128). Her RoF is equally Average, sitting between Lee’s (36) and WA2000’s (39), and the same goes to her Accuracy stats of 80, sitting between Lee’s (78) and WA2000’s (82). Thankfully, her Skill and passive more than make up for her tame stats.

Buffs restriction

While this is easier to overcome with Flare ammo, it still is possible to activate Pekola on a 0s ICD by pairing her with a Fervor fairy and Python, Nagant Mod or SAA Mod. Do note that, while Fervor counts as 3 stacks upon activation, must activate, which either means Commanders have to rely on RNG or have a 5 star fairy with one. Pekora also works with Warrior fairy’s Skill and Fury’s Skill, which means a 5 star Fervor Warrior or Fury is enough to activate Pekora on their own. Therefore, for newer Commanders, it is possible that they’ll only see Pekora activate once the first round of HG buffs come up.

Team Options

As none of her stats are particularly exceptional or bad, Pekora welcomes both FP buffs and RoF buffs, with a slight emphasis on the latter due to her passive damage self-buff, as many enemies RFHG teams face have more than 10k HP pools, Pekora is likely to hit her passive cap around 70% of the enemy's HP, which means she'll often hit the cap. Thus, RoF HGs are particularly well suited as her partners, so Commanders may elect to pair her with up to two RoF HGs. Pairing her with up to two FP HGs also works, especially against high HP enemies. Lastly, until Flare ammo is available, the best way to activate her attacks is by pairing her with a Fervor fairy and Python/SAA. Fervor Fury and Warrior are particularly well suited, as they’re capable of activating her on their own.

History/Trivia

An angel that is stuck on Earth due to losing her halo, Pekora is often innocent and kind, albeit stubborn. However, her principles are thrown away whenever the matter at hand involves food. Probably the best character gameplay-wise and lore-wise from Jashin.
