Equipment
Overview
Ingram is an excellent early-to-mid game Main tank or Offtank SMG, which is due to her well-rounded stats and Smoke Grenade skill. Although she may not be considered a top tier SMG choice in endgame scenarios, Ingram can hold her own even into the late game when provided the right Equipment due to her strong overall kit.

Although she may not be considered a top tier SMG choice in endgame scenarios, Ingram can hold her own even into the late game when provided the right Equipment due to her strong overall kit.
Strengths
Good Defensive Utility
Ingram’s Smoke Grenade Skill is a powerful tool that reduces incoming damage from large groups of enemies.
Strong Formation Buff
Ingram’s Formation buff provides a Damage boost to ARs in all tiles behind her, making her a strong choice of tank for multi-AR formations.
Weaknesses
Low Maximum HP
Although not terribly low, Ingram’s HP cap is a little below the class average. When factoring in her average Evasion, this makes Ingram a somewhat less effective Main tank than other SMGs.
Full Analysis
It may be easy for players to initially dismiss Ingram for her below average HP cap and relatively average overall stat caps, but Ingram’s stats are not where her power lies. Her real strength comes from her Smoke Grenade skill, which at maximum level reduces the enemy’s RoF by 36% and movement speed by 50% for 4 seconds, assuming those foes are within a 2.5 unit radius. Given this Skill’s exceptionally short Initial Cooldown of just 1 second, it allows Ingram to greatly reduce incoming damage during the period where the Skills of most other T-Dolls are coming off their Initial CDs. This greatly increases an Echelon’s survivability across a series of short battles.
Ingram’s Formation buff is also a major factor in her viability, as it provides a 12% Damage boost to ARs in all three spaces behind her. This is a rather powerful buff in multi-AR formations where the DPS increase can significantly reduce battle length, and does not have the same problem as RoF boosts which may cause an AR to hit the RoF cap.
Overall, these qualities make Ingram an excellent budget SMG for players who are limited in their tank options or are low on Cores. Although she is definitely outclassed by 4 and 5 star SMGs such as UMP45, UMP9, and Vector, it is advisable to not look down on Ingram for her modest rarity as the synergies within her kit allow her to be a reasonably effective tank unit for use in any stage of the game.

Team Options
ARs with EVA Formation Buffs
Ingram pairs well with ARs that offer EVA formation buffs to increase her survivability, such as M4 SOPMOD II, FAL, and TAR-21.
ARs with Self-ROF Buff Skills
Ingram’s formation buff boosts AR Damage, and therefore is most effective when applied to ARs with skills that increase their own ROF. Examples include M4A1, ST AR-15, and OTs-12.

AR |
This is the ideal positioning for Ingram as it allows her Formation buff to extend to all three ARs in the formation. Note that Ingram can also be moved during combat to switch positions with the other SMG in the formation if they are a better tank, as Formation buffs apply before the battle starts and do not move with units as they reposition in battle.

History/Trivia
The Ingram Model 10, more commonly known as the MAC-10, was one of the weapons that revolutionized the way submachine guns were viewed by militaries and civilian weapon owners alike. After a rather unsuccessful run with his Model 6 SMG which bore great resemblance to the Thompson, Gordon Ingram introduced the MAC-10 in 1964, a new version of the machine pistol that immediately gained recognition due to its standard SMG magazine size and ease of concealment. Ingram and the MAC-10 are widely heralded as the reason why SMGs returned to popularity in the second half of the 20th century -- an unsurprising fact considering the MAC-10 continues to see use even today.
