Er...whoops I knew that. Anyway, a bit of a spoiler, but after you finish reading this guide please immediately consult the E1-1EX Farming Guide, not E1-2EX. All the guides are written assuming that you have farmed approximately 404 Grenades.
404 Grenades can be redeemed for 500 of each Resource and some Cores at your nearest Achievements Tab as well as being useful for blowing enemies up.
That's enough silliness for now, on to the actual guide.
That's a lie, one more thing.
(Almost)All EX stages can be cleared using nothing but Dummy Echelons and Frag Grenades. You do not need to go to quite this extreme, you can instead use Grenades to soften enemies before your Combat Echelons move in for the kill, as will be seen in some of the guides.
That almost refers to EX1-5 which requires between 15-20 Turrets. This can largely be collected by clearing the event, and this requirement is mentioned in EX1-5 so you can check prior to starting the mission.
This event, especially EX Difficulty, is designed and balanced around using at least a few Grenades on most enemies. If you don't, you will have a bad time.
Mission and Clear Conditions:
Arrive at Specific Node
- 2 Dummy Echelons
- Yes, really
Alright, on to the important information. First, we'll be clearing the 'Secret' objective on this map, which allows for an easy Frag Grenade farm. that will be used going forwards.
This map does provide an intro to the 'Fog of War' mechanics, that appear in Dual Randomness, wherein large swathes of the map are hidden from view until you step onto the correct node. Supply Boxes appear on various nodes that can be picked up for Grenades and Turrets. There isn't much more to say, so on to the guide!
This map also has movement RNG so you might run into an enemy, either you wait and hope nothing else gets in your way, or simply just reset for better RNG since you only need finish this objective once!
THIS MAP IS EXTREMELY RNG IF USING DUMMY ECHELONS! Check the comments section for more details.
Cleista! You can't just come in here screaming like that!
Also I just said that...
Oops... I can't read, bye.
Move the left Dummy Echelon to the left one more node. This will expose a new area of the map.
Move that Dummy Echelon to the left three more nodes, and end your turn.
The next two steps depend on enemy movement RNG, you might have to wait a few turns before you can continue, so watch out for which nodes turn red and keep in mind where the enemies moved.
Or... reset and try again for better RNG.
