  • This build aims to give Shanna new skills in order to prop up her old statline.
  • With Surge Sparrow, Shanna can circumvent her lower defensive stats by healing up every time her Special activates. This gives great synergy with Shanna's Lance, as the additional damage and Slaying allows Shanna to have a playstyle that revolves entirely around getting off her Special for more damage and healing.
  • Iceberg is a great choice of Special as long as her enemy can retaliate, as it builds on her higher Res stat. Alternatively, you can go with Luna for the defense cleave, which will do more damage against tank units.
  • Flow Refresh greatly helps with this, as it prevents Shanna's doubles from being blocked by a follow-up neutralizing skill, but the healing is somewhat redundant with Surge Sparrow in her A slot.
  • Spd/Def Rein, S/D Near Trace, and Atk/Spd Solo all help Shanna to try and build up her statline so that she can double her foe and do large amounts of damage.

  • By taking on a defensive stance with Quick Riposte, Shanna can fight through follow-up nullification and force doubles on enemy units who have follow-up denial during the Enemy Phase. This does require her to tank a hit, but with Sturdy Stance, Atk Rein, and Atk/Def Solo, it becomes far more manageable.
  • Guard Bearing would also help out quite a bit here, but then you would need to decide whether to drop Quick Riposte seal or Atk/Def Solo seal in order to make it work
  • With this build, Shanna should retaliate twice, even against units who outspeed her dated Speed stat - then, on her second hit, she triggers a lethal Iceberg or Luna, dealing additional damage thanks to her prf weapon.

Strengths

Usable Prf

Shanna's prf weapon, Shanna's Lance, helps to patch up her low Attack by adding an additional 10 damage when her Special triggers. On top of this, it is a 16 mt Slaying weapon, which is always handy.

Workable Statline

Although her statline has been drastically powercrept in recent years, Shanna can still work well with some investment. At +10 with +Spd boon and her Resplendent form, Shanna hits 36 Atk, 45 Spd, 31 Def, and 35 Res, which is enough for any unit to be pretty well rounded and not a bad feather investment.

Weaknesses

Very Dated

As a launch unit, Shanna was in the middle of the pack. While she experienced a bit of a power boost with her refine, as well as a Resplendent buff, her stat and prf are simply too old to carry any significant relevancy. She can work, but when you have units like Young Tana with +9 Atk, +6 Spd, and a Slaying prf that grants her movement, Atk/Spd+6 , and Def/Res+10 on initiation... well, why would you bother?
